TEDx Talk on Vulnerability

This week, for our GIT IT content, we are sharing with you a TEDx talk on vulnerability based on the research of Dr. Brene Brown, a researcher professor at the University of Houston, Graduate College of Social Work.

Webster’s dictionary defines “vulnerability” as the state of being capable of being physically or emotionally wounded. Dr. Brown however,  says, “What makes you vulnerable, makes you beautiful.” More recently, Anna Bruk, Sabine G. Scholl, and Herbert Bless of the University of Mannheim in Germany, did similar research on this topic.  They define vulnerability as “the willingness to expose yourself emotionally to another person despite being afraid and despite the risks.”  After watching the video, share your thoughts on the topic in the comment area below the movie.
